How long does it take for a chinese visa to be processed by the visa office?
With the introduction of the new China visa application form, Chinese visa offices now offer an Express Service. Visas are issued within 2-3 working days through this service. Delays may occur due to holidays, as visa offices are closed on both UK and Chinese public holidays.
With Express mail or courier, your passport with the visa can be in your hands by the next morning. In urgent cases, you can pick up your passport at our London office, allowing you to commence your journey on the same day the visa is issued.
Please note: Every applicant aged 14 to 69 must personally appear at the Chinese visa office to submit fingerprints. If you have not provided fingerprints at the visa offices in UK since late 2019, it is now required (previous fingerprint submissions upon entry into China do not count here). These will then be valid for all further visas applied for over the next five years (if applied for with the same passport). Future visas can thus be applied for entirely by mail again.
Send us your documents via Express mail or courier. If your application is complete and reaches us by 9 AM, we will submit it the same day.
Ensure you are reachable when your application arrives. This allows us to quickly handle any queries by email or phone, ensuring your application does not unnecessarily get delayed.
Have your passport returned in a fast and secure manner. We recommend courier overnight delivery. The passport is delivered within 24 hours.
