Multiple-Entry and Long-Term Visas for China (MH Visa / MI Visa)

If you frequently conduct business or engage in activities in China, it may be beneficial to apply for a multiple-entry visa, valid for 6 to 24 months.

A multiple-entry visa can generally be applied for several types of visas:

• Business Visa
• Academic Visa
• Family Visa
• Crew Visa

A multiple-entry visa can be requested with an invitation, provided you have previously visited China multiple times. This should be documented by one or more visas in your passport.

If you do not meet these criteria, you can only apply for the multiple-entry visa if you present an official invitation (Invitation of Duly Authorized Unit). This must be applied for by your Chinese business partner at the relevant provincial government or an appropriate authority on your behalf.

Special Cases for the Multiple-Entry Visa

The People's Republic of China has established bilateral agreements with the USA, Israel, and Canada concerning multiple-entry visas. Specifically, for business and tourist visas issued to U.S. citizens, the multiple-entry validity extends for 10 years. Citizens of Israel and Canada benefit from a multiple-entry validity of 5 years.
