The Press Office then forwards the approval to the competent Chinese diplomatic mission in UK. The provincial government issues an appropriate invitation.

3. A recent biometric passport photo,
4. A detailed statement from your editorial board about the location, duration, and purpose of your research/reporting, and
5. An invitation from a host in China, under whose commission you are reporting. The invitation from the provincial government must be submitted to the competent foreign mission.
